I love green beans, but I am very particular on how they are made. I don’t like them over or under cooked. So I went looking online to see if people had any tricks for making green beans. This is what I found out: the best way to cook green beans is to steam them until they are bright green, as soon as they hit this point you need to quickly take them out and run them under cold water (this prevents the heat from continuing to cook them). Next fry them for 3 minutes with olive oil and garlic.salt & pepper. Following these few steps will give you the best green beans! Actually my boyfriend and I loved them so much that they are starting to become a regular vegetable side dish for us. I also grated in some ginger and that tasted awesome to. (These exact steps work really well with asparagus too).
